Q23 – Quilt – Trip Around The World

Early Morning,

This next quilt is patterned for a very reliable pattern "Trip Around The World". The earliest time frame I can find as to the origins of this pattern dates to the Civil War through the 1890s. All-things-being-equal this pattern could have been around from much earlier times. The pattern is a repetition of equal sized squares. The fabrics chosen for this quilt include a blend of floral prints in a gradation of shades. Our quilt dimensions were that of one that would provide an accent to either a full or queen size bed.

We donated this quilt, one of our first efforts, to the National Foundation For Women Legislators, for an event at their Annual Conference a few years back. It was graciously received, by Florida House Representative Faye B. Culp.

To see previously posted quilts, type any Q# coding in the search box at the upper left-hand on my Blog page; to date Q1 through Q23. I have also created a new visual presentation at the bottom of my blog page. Move your cursor over any mini-picture found there and click to see an enlargement. Move your cursor to the "Q#" link to see the quilt's details. If the quilts title is highlighted in yellow, it has found a home in a collection.

If you are interested, and would like some more information of the available quilts, regarding costs, shipping, and insurance, please get in touch with me at our Quilts SB Etsy shop.

Stay-tuned for Q24. We really did not realize that we had made so many, and have so many under way.

Enjoy,

Jim and Andy
