Q40 – Quilt – C&N

Good day,

Thought you may like the first quilt of our new series. We call the series – The IABTTSGH (It’s about bloody time that spring got here) Series. The first one of this new Series, C&N, was constructed and made as a wedding gift. Our initial thought and idea were developed from a review of the personal online bridal registries.

The dimensions of C&N are: Length – 95” (242 cms.); Width – 62” (158 cms.) We used 21 different fabrics to create our version, and about 50% of the fabrics are designs by Kaffe Fassett. The other stylish fabrics are of various designers that we thought may work with the overall color palette. Thanks to Allan and Veronica at Keep Me 'n Stitches for helping with the fabric choices.

The pattern is one we borrowed from Fassett’s book Kaleidoscope of Quilts, The Taunton Press, CT, 2006. He has two pattern examples called Morning Garden and Tapestry Garden.

And here are some close-ups of C&N:

To see previously posted quilts, there is a visual grid presentation at the bottom of my Blog page. Move your cursor over any mini-picture found there and click to see an enlargement. Move your cursor to the "Q#" link to see the quilt's details. If the quilt’s title is highlighted in yellow, it has found a home in a collection and is no longer available.

Please let me know if anything on the Blogsite does not properly work, or do what it says it is supposed to do. I’m always striving to make sure an ease of use.

If you are interested, and would like some more information of the available quilts, regarding costs, shipping, and insurance, please get in touch with me at our Quilts SB Etsy shop.

And congratulations to Courtney and Neil.

Enjoy,

Jim and Andy
