Q152 – Espalda – New Quilt, Wall-Hanging – Part I

Good Day,

In collaboration with Ya Levy La’Ford, (http://yalaford.com/), Andy and I would like to introduce to you to our 152nd quilt, Espalda.

Espalda - YL, AB and JS - 2016

Espalda is the expression of how communities may work very well together, but at times parts of a community may confine itself to self-imposed borders and boundaries.

Espalda is a quilted wall-hanging is an intended work to be the background holder of the 45 “pot-holder” quilts of its companion piece Frente. All-things-being-equal Espalda can stand by itself.

Please check out Frente, our companion collaboration and our 153rd+++++++++ quilt.

The dimension of Espalda is 72” wide by 48” long. It is composed of 100% cotton, all Robert Kaufman Kona® Cotton. The green and white strips are appliquéd. The quilting design is both in-the-ditch and pebbling.

If you look closely you will see Velcro dots. These dots are the means we used to attach the mini-quilts of Frente to Espalda.

Follow our work and updates at both our Quilts SB site and our Quilts SB Facebook page.

To see previously posted quilts, there is a visual grid presentation at the bottom of the Quilts SB page. Move your cursor over any mini-picture found there and click to see an enlargement. Move your cursor to the "Q#" link to see the quilt's details. If the quilt’s title is highlighted in yellow, it has found a home in a collection and is no longer available.

Please let me know if anything on the Blog site does not properly work. I’m always striving to make sure an ease of use.

If you are interested and would like some more information of the available quilts, regarding costs, shipping, and insurance, please get in touch with us Quilts SB, at jsmith58@gmail.com.

Enjoy,

Jim and Andy
