My Quip – Mondrian I Progress Update

Good Evening,

Yes… we do not stop. Quilting is our passion, period.

The top to our Mondrian I quilt, of our Rainbow Series, is now completed. Thirty 14” squares, all separated with a black patterned fabric. The border, around the perimeter creates a gorgeous stained-glass effect. Thank you, Piet Mondrian for the inspiration.

Our Mondrian I top, including the border and without the binding, dimensions are – Width – 76” (193 cms) and Length – 90” (229 cms).

My images, with the back-lighting of the Tampa sun, show and provide an effective presentation of our unfinished quilt top.

Once the batting and backing are sandwiched to the top the fabric colors will become deeper and richer.

I have not, as yet, decided on the quilting pattern, and I will leave that to a surprise upon completion.

Stay-tuned for our progress. Oh and by the way, two new designs of our new Series, yet to be named, have been completed and drafted. A third is in process.

Check out our currently available quilts at Quilts SB Etsy.

To see previously posted quilts, there is a visual Grid presentation at the bottom of the Quilts SB page. Move your cursor over any mini-picture found there and click to see an enlargement. Move your cursor to the "Q#" link to see the quilt's details. If the quilt’s title is highlighted in yellow or in red, it has found a home in a collection and is no longer available.

If you are interested, and would like some more information of any available quilts, regarding costs, shipping, and insurance, please check our Quilts SB Etsy Shop.

If you have any questions and/or comments please feel free to get in touch with me via email.

Enjoy,

Jim and Andy
