My Quip – Elation – The Building of Our New Quilt/Wall Hanging

Good Day,

Andy and I thought you may be interested is watching us work the progress of our new quilt and wall hanging Elation.

Elation is going to be the work what we have learnt over the past couple of years. The overall design is going to be our secret… We’re excited about this project and then again on the other hand we’re not sure that it is going to work. Once it is finished it will be our Elation.

We’ve divided the work of our design into phases. Our canvas is created from strips of muslin. There are 14 primary strips in our Elation.

Elation - This is Phase 1.

Elation - Phase 1 - JS AB

We chose 55 plus 1 colors for Phase 1 from Robert Hoffman Fat Quarter Bundles – Kona Cotton Elizabeth H and Sunset Colorstory.

Elation - The color progression really begins - JS AB

Don't forget to check back with Quilts SB to follow the progress of our Elation.

Please feel free to email Andy and me at Quilts SB if you have any questions, comments, thoughts, ideas.

Enjoy,

Jim and Andy
