My Quip - Elation - Quilting Part 2 - Parallel Lines

Good Day,

Andy and I worked on a thought to create a quilting pattern for our new Elation: parallel lines and concentric circles.

Elation - JS AB - 2016

In Part 1, the Pantone color wheel, the concentric circles are 1/4" apart.

In Part 2, the beige background, we decided to follow an offset angle to the strips and create a quai-basket weave-effect.  We created the parallel as a sub-divided component of the individual strips.

Follow our previous postings to see and read about our thoughts and progress.

My Quip - Our Current Projects in Process

Good Day,

A few of our quilts and wall hangings are presently on the road. Also Diamonds is currently on display at The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum in Colorado. Blumish Two; Cosmo's Moon; I Really Love Lucy; Sleep Jezebel; Betty White - BW 2010; Warhol's Itch, Light BringerSea and Sky and La Vie en Rose are all in Colorado. Apollo 1, The Beginning; Betwixt and Between; and Cosmo's Moon 2.5 are in Virginia.

Andy and I work just about 24/7 on our quilts and wall hangings.  We continue to try new things and new techniques.  We do like to work on our own designs and patterns, and many are and can be based on the thoughts and ideas of many, many skilled and practiced artists and quilters.

Andy and I like to try all types of quilting and we push the needle, so-to-speak.  We consider our works a mishmash and combination of traditional, contemporary, modern, artist, et al, styles of quilting.  And there are still a great number of forms and techniques we would yet like to try.

The following is our up-to-date project list.  Yes, there are 33 works in progress.

"C" means completed, and a percentage is our guesstimated degree of completion. A blank space translates to "We haven't got there yet."
