My Quip - Elation - Our Progress - Adding Butterflies

Good Day,

Part of our Elation quilt and wall hanging design is to celebrate the nature of butterflies... I have always likes butterflies. I like the magnificence of their variety and their colors.

My thought process in designing Elation seemed to be synchronous with the presentation of the 2016 Hoffman Challenge fabric, Crystalia. The digitally printed butterflies, when we first saw them, seemed to fit what we were looking for. (Oh yeah we’re working on another possibility for the Challenge.)

Our idea is to appliqué individually cut, (broderie perse), butterflies in an effort to create a feeling of delight and celebration. This is our Elation.

Please be aware of the fact you are supposed to use a certain percentage of Hoffman fabrics for the Challenge.
