This is another one of Andy's and my update to our new quilt and wall-hanging, Elation.
Our idea of using a pebbling technique to represent a quick birth or metamorphosis. Yes we understand that the larva and pupa stages are missing, but we've taken a wee bit of artistic license.
Butterflies have always intrigued me. This may just be a way, using fabric, to allow the beauty and panorama of their colors and flight to create a semblance of Elation in a quick, very quick cycle of life.
