Q38 – Quilt – Blue Sister Number 4

And again a gracious good afternoon,

Dogs have been fed, walked, and all have settled in. I do not hear the sound of at least 64 nails click-click-clicking on the tile floor.

As promised here’s Blue, Number 4 in the Sisters’ Series. And one more to go; Green.

Blue is a small quilt. Its dimensions are: Length – 63” (160 cms); Width 48 ½” (123 cms). This is a petite lap quilt and could be a complementary accent to the Sister Quilts.

And for your viewing pleasure, here are some close ups.

Q37 – Quilt – Rose, Sister Number 3

Afternoon,

The weather forecasters got it right… for once! It has been overcast and raining since we got up this morning. The Rats really didn’t want to go out, but of course the big ole Labs relish anytime a leash is jingled.

Today’s quilt is Rose, Sister Number 3. This is obviously Number 3 in our Sisters Series. You can see Yellow and Pink at Q30 and Q31, respectively.

The dimensions of Rose are: Length – 80” (203 cms); Width – 57” (145 cms). It could be considered a Lap or a Cot quilt. All our quilts are 100% cotton, both fabric and batting. All pictures were taken with a flash. (Thanks Wouter for your book, Famous Interiors.)

Here are some close-ups.

Evening,

And it’s finished! We’re really pleased with the new quilt addition to the AD series. Okay, I know it’s the second one… but I portend that two make a series. And here it is, AD II.

Q35 – Quilt – AD I

Morning and Happy New Year,

As promised here’s AD I, the first in our new and original AD Quilt Series. This fabric is called African Drums, hence the title and series AD. The AD I colors are a black and off-white. The design is a very simple geometric one but yet completing the movement of the lines in the fabric. We have quilted in the ditch through the body and stippled quilted the border.

Dimensions: Length - 73" (185 cms); Width – 58" (147 cms). The size of this quilt is just about 29 ½ square feet. It can be considered a lap or cot quilt, and could definitely be used as a large wall-hanging. All our quilts are 100% cotton fabric and batting. As always the images may take on shades of their own dependent on the source of lighting. I have provided images taken with and without a flash.
