Q13 - Quilt - Warhol's Marilyn

This quilt, a wall hanging was created using Andy Warhol's Marilyn Diptych 1963, from a private collection.

This was the first attempt at conversion to cross-stitch needlepoint using a scanner and a unique PC program I found in 1998. The stitch work and coloring is identical from panel to panel and the fabric background is in keeping with the ideas of Andy Warhol. The dramatic diagonals offset the individual portraits.

Dimensions - Width: 35" (89 cm) and Length: 31½" (80 cm).

This quilt is not available. If you are interested, and would like some more information of the available quilts, regarding costs, shipping, and insurance, please get in touch with me at our Quilts SB Etsy shop.
